This week was pretty great.
I've worked hard in school and managed to finish all my homework in class and common period. I've gotten some difficult assignments but finishing homework in school is literally a dream come true. Apart from school, I've been getting quite the workout. I have advanced rock climbing on Wednesdays where we do challenges, 'buddy-climbs' and belay. I've had two cross country practices (no meets). We ran 2 miles on Tuesday and 1 today. We did speed-work today on hills (it was actually pretty fun, but hard). We did approximately 1/2 a mile in Speed-work. I also did a nice 1.10 mile run with Bigby yesterday. I used one of my routes on the lifesaver MapMyRun.com. So far, I've totaled 4.6 miles this week. Not too shabby, but I'd like to press harder!
OK, so the main idea of this post is that not all #RunnerSelfies are perfect. We all know that. Honestly, I only post the perfect ones. Not, that weird, right? But now let's pretend it's Reality Day. Pretty much the only reality I need to face on this blog is the truth about #RunnerSelfies. Here goes.
1. A Mess of Hair.
Because, like honestly, who's hair remains in a perfect pony after a run!?
2. That ONE LONG STRAND.
Yup, anyone with long hair has had that.
3. Of course, the blinks.
On a sunny day, or even any day, they're practically inevitable.
But, hey, life is full of imperfections. If you angry at every little imperfection in the world, you're going to be a really angry person--and who wants that?! So instead, let's all get a few Reality Runner Selfies with the hashtag #RealityRunnerSelfie in your upcoming blog post and send them to some friends for us to work on embracing our perfect imperfections. When you send them, encourage your friends to not delete their Reality Runner Selfies when they take them. Include the words:
The most perfect parts of you are your imperfections. Life is not perfect, but it's more exciting that way. <3
Thanks so much!
