Workout Inspiration

Did you know that you're more likely to exercise longer when you make a (mental) big deal of changing into comfy and really cute running clothes. Spend a while tying your shoes to the perfect tightness and adjusting your shorts to the right length and you'll remember all that effort when you want to give up. Try it! It really works.

Another way that I get myself going is when I'm in the car on the way home from some place and then I see someone running. It GIVES you energy--it does! Or when you're inside and you see someone running, it makes you feel sorta lazy. That person just inspired you to burn calories, think about skipping dessert, and get that heart rate going! So get out there and RUN. Run in the suburbs, too, and continue that Workout Influence chain reaction for others. You'll feel great about encouraging someone else to get out there and run, too. Go you!

And once you get yourself out there, here are some tips to keep you going:

  1.              Close your eyes and throw ALL your energy into it and soon it'll become easier.
  2.               Allow your self to slow down (even walk!) but DO NOT stop all together, unless you feel sick or something otherwise dangerous.
  3.                Remember why you did this!
  4.              Remember the Workout Influence. (Run past just three more houses and inspire three more people if they see you!)
  5.               You are AWESOME!
