Weekly Work-Out Update! (#1)

Hey, LEDS!
I decided that today I'm going to do an update on my running!. Yesterday, I ran a nice mile. It felt like half an hour because Bigby (my rescued dog who I run with) stopped fifty million times to pee on a tree--never a fire hydrant-- and got kind of tired and hot due to the extremely warm weather here. I walked part of the way for Bigby to catch his breath so my time was: 13:14. Yup, 13 minutes and 14 seconds. I want to try running my best (without Bigby stopping to mark every two seconds), but Bigby always looks forwards to our runs so I'd hate to leave him behind. Well, maybe once it gets a bit cooler out and Bigby is used to running farther, we could try to go for our first personal best! I'm looking forward to that day!

Yesterday, after our nice mile run, I made Bigby a smoothie with peach yogurt and a banana to cool down (it was also half of his dinner) while I snacked on a S'mores Luna Bar and a glass of low-fat chocolate milk for some protein and iron. It was a yummy, perfect, post-run refreshment.

I also found this website yesterday called MapMyRun. You can log on your runs, create routes, do SO MANY COOL THINGS and you can even record what you eat. It's super easy and free (for pretty much EVERYTHING) and it's really cool, so I 100% signing up today!

So, yup. That was my current workout update and I hope to bring more to you soon!
